Formal.jpg

BOB WALLNER began his musical journey at the age of four and took piano and singing lessons at Hudson Valley Conservatory throughout his childhood. He played trumpet in elementary and middle school band, and sang in the choirs.  Around the age of 12, Bob became fascinated with the guitar and started teaching himself by ear, influenced in the earliest stages by Eric Clapton, Alex Lifeson, and David Gilmour.  Bob continued to pursue guitar and music studies at SUNY Ulster (including lessons with future bandmate Greg Dinger) and in his early 20’s, while working full time as a gardener, he began to play bass guitar in order to fill a spot in the band Ancient Whale. The history of bass guitar and its legendary players blossomed into a passion for R&B, Soul, Funk and Jazz music and Bob has since taken lessons from Ric Fierabracci, a jazz-fusion great, and currently with Gospel bassist Justin Raines.
